Three charged after major fentanyl busts in Vancouver, Burnaby and Abbotsford
Three people have been charged after B.C.’s anti-organized crime unit busted an alleged large-scale drug trafficking operation with locations in Burnaby, Vancouver and Abbotsford.
The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. (CFSEU-B.C.) says two men and a woman are facing charges after four kilograms of fentanyl and other toxic street drugs were seized during busts of four homes back in November 2020.
The unit began investigating in May of that year after getting information about several alleged traffickers in the Lower Mainland.
The November raids of two homes in Burnaby and one each in Vancouver and Abbotsford turned up about four kilos of fentanyl and smaller amounts of drugs including heroin, fentanyl mixed with other drugs including carfentanil, ketamine, methamphetamine and MDMA. About $24,000 in Canadian money was also seized.
On May 16, prosecutors laid charges against Karina Marie Graham, 32, 27-year-old Leo Minh Thach and 40-year-old Aaron Trung Thanh Nguyen. All are Vancouver residents.
