Two people dead in massive North Vancouver house fire

Firefighters are investigating a fatal house fire in the District of North Vancouver early Thursday.

RCMP have confirmed that two people have died in the blaze, which broke out in the early morning at a house in the 4000-block of Delbrook Avenue, near Granada Crescent.

Mounties have planned a news conference in North Vancouver for 9:30 a.m.

RCMP Const. Mansoor Sahak said several people escaped the residence before it became engulfed in flames. However,  a man and woman were found dead in the house.

The B.C. Health Emergency Health Services said it was called out to this fire shortly after 3 a.m.
