VIRUS1 to SHAAA-G: The vanity licence plates ICBC rejected in 2022

It’s hard to imagine why anyone would want a personalized licence plate with “VIRUS” on their vehicle during a pandemic, but apparently three British Columbians applied for that last year.

The requests — VIRUS1, VIRUS2, and VIRUS3 — were among hundreds of personalized licence plate requests rejected by ICBC in 2022.

Of course, there were plenty of sexually themed licence plates denied, some seemingly lighthearted such as SHAA-G. And just to make an even stronger point someone wanted one with an extra A: SHAAA-G.

Among the other sexually suggestive (and, let’s face it, a tad juvenile) requests: ASSMAN, 69ERS, TIT MIT, and F HUGH.

Some are real head scratchers, like WT TRASH or MAFIA, GANG and GANGSTA. (Really? Isn’t that just asking for the police to pull you over?) Same goes for SO HIGH and RED EYE.
