Alleged Brother Keepers hitman confessed to Surrey murder, former associate testifies
A former associate of alleged Brothers Keepers hitman Tyrel Nguyen testified Monday that Nguyen confessed to killing gangster Randy Kang during a conversation on a condo balcony shortly after the October 2017 murder.
The witness, who can only be identified as AB, told B.C. Supreme Court Justice Miriam Gropper that he, Nguyen and their associate Rohit Kumar left their phones in the condo bathroom to ensure police wouldn’t be listening.
He said Nguyen did most of the talking on the balcony as he described what happened on the night of Oct. 27, 2017 as brothers Randy and Gary Kang and their friend Camilo Alonso agreed to meet Kumar and Nguyen in Surrey’s Bolivar Park.
Nguyen said, “He had killed Randy Kang and that … Rohit tried to kill Gary Kang and Camilo Alonso,” AB testified.
“Tyrel hit Randy Kang. He fell. (Tyrel) went and shot him in the back of the head,” AB testified.
