B.C. Amber Alert: Police say abduction was planned, mom and kids living off grid
Police say new information suggests the abduction of Aurora and Joshuah Bolton by their non-custodial mother was well planned, and the trio are now living with her boyfriend and father in trailers somewhere off the grid.
Aurora, 8, and Joshuah, 10, were not returned to their father in Surrey as planned on July 17, and police became concerned enough about the kids’ safety to launch an Amber Alert two days later.
Though the children were allowed to go on a camping trip in the Kelowna area with their mother, Verity Bolton, that booking was cancelled and there have since been confirmed sightings of them in Kelowna, Merritt and Kamloops. Only Verity was seen in the latest sighting, in a Kamloops grocery store, on July 15.
It was determined that the trio are travelling with Verity’s father, Robert Bolton, and Verity’s boyfriend, Abraxas Glazov. She is driving a dark blue Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, with different trailers attached including a horse trailer and travel trailers.
