Bodyboarder killed by great white shark in central California
A piece of what appeared to be a shark’s tooth was found on the body of a bodyboarder who was killed by a great white shark in central California on Christmas Eve, according to official reports.
Tomas Abraham Butterfield, 42, died within minutes of the attack. He was bitten in the head, chest and shoulder in Morro Bay and died from “complications of multiple penetrating blunt-force traumatic injuries,” according to a coroner’s report.
