Dates announced for Vancouver’s 2023 Celebration of Light

Mark your calendars. Vancouver’s Honda Celebration of Light will be lighting up the beaches of English Bay once again this summer.

Organizers for the popular fireworks competition said the three-night event will return in 2023 on July 22, 26 and 29.

Last year, Team Canada’s Midnight Sun Fireworks beat out competitors for Japan and Spain for the title.

This year’s line-up of the teams and countries will be announced next Monday during an event at Concord Pacific Place in downtown Vancouver, said organizers.

More than 400,000 people attend the annual pyrotechnics festival which returned last year after a two-year COVID-19-induced hiatus.
