Exploring Cornwall’s old and unspoiled land

A road trip to Cornwall England in April 2022 didn’t satisfy my desire to explore more of this area so in May 2023 I returned to explore by hiking parts of the 300 mile Cornwall section of the 630 mile South Coast Path. The path stretches from Somerset County, through Cornwall, Devon and ending in Dorset County.

Our holiday began with a relaxing five-hour journey by train from London’s Paddington Station to St Ives, Cornwall.

Our package was a seven-day stay at Chy Morvah lodge in St Ives. Included in the package were meals, accommodation, hiking guides and local transportation for five hiking days. Upon arrival we enjoyed our first cream tea with instructions that it’s “jam first “ on the scone and then the clotted cream. Our next decision was to choose Sunday dinner, and the roast reef with Yorkshire pudding and sticky toffee pudding for dessert did not disappoint!
