Fire outside Marine Building shuts down Waterfront Station, SeaBus
Firefighters and police are dealing with an apparent explosion and a fire outside Vancouver’s historic Marine Building.
Witnesses report hearing a loud explosion after 6 p.m. in the area of Burrard Street near West Hastings Street.
Photos and video posted on social media show flames erupting from the ground outside the historic art deco building, near the JJ Bean coffee shop, and thick smoke billowing out.
