Four skiers injured in avalanche near Invermere
Four people were taken to hospital following an avalanche west of Invermere on Wednesday afternoon.
B.C. Emergency Health Services were notified at 11:45 a.m. that there had been an avalanche near the Panorama Mountain Resort and that several people had been injured. Four patients were taken to hospital.
The group included nine skiers and one guide working for RK Heliski.
There have been nine avalanche fatalities reported in B.C. so far this year.
