Hotel Intel: Israel’s latest getaways flourish in ancient sites
History flourishes throughout Israel, and many of the country’s hotels reflect centuries of lore through astonishing architecture and gorgeous settings paired with exciting cuisine and luxurious hospitality.
“As we mark 75 years of statehood in 2023, our heritage is a living heritage,” said Gal Hana, Israel’s director of tourism for Canada. “This latest collection of hotels is a compelling blend of Israel’s innovative hospitality and fascinating multicultural cuisine.”
Here is a peek at new destinations at sites of Biblical renown, such as the Negev Desert, the Dead Sea, Galilee, the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, Safed, Haifa and more.
Golan Heights: Pereh Mountain Resort is an innovative boutique hotel on a vast private estate built around the ruins of early 1900s Bauhaus buildings. “Pereh,” which means “wild” in Hebrew, refers to the rugged beauty of the mountains, waterfalls and valleys of the Golan Heights region.
