Human remains found in empty Cloverdale lot

Human remains have been found in an empty lot in Cloverdale.

According to a statement from the Surrey RCMP, police were called about human remains being found in a wooded area on a lot in the 19000-block of Fraser Highway on Wednesday afternoon.

The lot has been secured by police and evidence specialists and a coroner were called in

“Police are working to identify the deceased individual, and will be liaising with the coroner, who will determine possible cause of death. It is too early in the investigation to determine whether or not criminality is a factor,” the police statement read.
