IIO called in after Vancouver police-involved shooting death

The Independent Investigations Office has been called in after a man was shot and killed during a police incident early Thursday evening in Vancouver.

Vancouver police notifed thte IIO after the incident on the Granville Street bridge at 6:45 p.m. after a person was reported acting erratically. The altercation resulted in a man being shot and killed by police.

This is an unfolding investigation and no further information was released.
