Kamloops missing person case upgraded to homicide
Kamloops RCMP has upgraded a missing person investigation to a homicide after the remains of a woman were located.
According to the B.C. RCMP, the body has been tentatively identified as Jo-Anne Donovan — who was reported missing on Monday after last being seen at her home on March 13, 2023.
“This is not the outcome that anyone was hoping for,” said Cpl. David Marshall of the Kamloops Serious Crime Unit.
“Our investigation has now shifted focus to determine what happened to Jo-Anne.”
Police did not reveal where the body was found or why the case has been deemed a homicide or whether there are any suspects.
