Lotto 6/49 draw: Winners in Richmond and Vancouver on Canada Day
A couple of Metro Vancouver residents had a lucky Canada Day.
Someone who bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket in Richmond picked up half of the $5 million grand prize on Saturday, while another ticket in Vancouver won $1 million in the “gold ball” draw.
That Lotto 6/49 jackpot continues to grow until the gold ball drops, and now sits at $20 million. If it’s one of multiple white balls, the prize is $1 million.
BCLC will announce the exact location where the winning ticket was purchased once a winner or winners come forward. They have a year from the draw date to collect.
Throughout July, Lotto 6/49 is also handing out 20 guaranteed prizes of $10,000 each on every draw date. Three of those were won in B.C. on July 1, two in Victoria and one in Vancouver.
