Madonna’s Celebration Tour launch in Vancouver is postponed
The opening night of Madonna’s The Celebration Tour scheduled for July 15 in Vancouver has been postponed.
A Rogers Arena employee confirmed over the phone on Thursday that the date has been taken off of the facility events calendar and a new date has yet to be set as event organizers wait to hear back from tour management about rescheduled tour dates.
News outlets reported the tour postponement last week after an Instagram post by the artist’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, reported the pop star was hospitalized with a serious bacterial infection.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,” he wrote. “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
