Man charged in connection with racist rant in Vancouver coffee shop
One man has been charged following a racially motivated tirade against two Vancouver coffee shop employees last month.
Vancouver police launched an investigation after a 57-year-old man entered a coffee shop on West Pender and Abbott on June 11 and engaged in what police allege was racist speech against two staff members.
Peter Gagen has been charged with causing a disturbance. He has been released pending his Oct. 31 court appearance.
