Suspicious man spotted in two Pacific Spirit Park incidents: University RCMP

University RCMP are advising the public to be watchful after recent reports of a suspicious young man in Pacific Spirit Park.

On Tuesday, police were called about a man who appeared to be following a group of walkers and a report of a man performing an indecent act in the park.

Both incidents happened near the 5300-block of NW Marine Drive, and involved a suspect described as white, 17 to 25 years old, with a slim build and dirty-blond hair.

“We are asking the public to stay vigilant, keep the volume low if you are wearing ear buds, and if possible exercise or walk with a friend,” said RCMP Cpl. Christina Martin in a release Thursday.

There was no direct contact between the suspect and individuals in either case.
