It’s lunch hour along Ambleside Beach.
Customers come and go at the Boat Shed, a cosy burger-and-fish joint at the beach’s east end, one of three dozen places to grab a bite between West Vancouver’s 19th Street and the sports fields, dog beach, skate park and basketball hoops where Ambleside abuts Park Royal.
The patio patrons at Boat Shed and a handful of dog walkers at the beach, when asked about West Van landing on the province’s naughty list of municipalities not building enough housing, agree by consensus that more housing probably needs to be built.
