Unresponsive teen pulled from Sasamat Lake Saturday
Port Moody emergency services attended an incident Saturday in which an unresponsive 14-year-old was pulled from Sasamat Lake.
The male was pulled from the lake at about 4 p.m. and emergency responders performed CPR before transporting the teen by B.C. air ambulance to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The beach was temporarily evacuated to make way for the air ambulance.
“This was a very traumatic incident and there were hundreds of people on the beach when it occurred,” said Const. Sam Zacharias. “If you or anyone you know was impacted by today’s event at Sasamat Lake, please reach out to our Victim Services Unit at 604-937-1313.”
