Vancouver man gets 27-month jail sentence for park killing
A Vancouver man who hit another man in the head causing him to fall and later die has been given a 27-month jail sentence.
Herbert was taken to hospital where he later died.
Lincoln was arrested and detained on Dec. 31, 2021, and pleaded guilty to manslaughter in December 2022.
Court heard that Lincoln had been told by his girlfriend that a man had exposed himself to a woman in the park and the girlfriend then identified Herbert as the culprit.
Lincoln, who is Indigenous, punched Herbert in the head at which point he fell to the ground and struck his head.
