What’s open and closed in Vancouver on Christmas Day? Find out here

It’s Christmas and lots of stores, businesses and services are closed for the holidays. But even with most of Vancouver shut down, there’s still options to shop, eat, swim, skate and make merry.

We offer this roundup of what’s open, what’s closed, and what’s operating on shortened holiday hours on Dec. 25 in town.

In Canada, Christmas Day (Dec. 25) Boxing Day (Dec. 26) and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) are considered statutory holidays, with most employers either giving workers the day off or paying overtime for those required to work.

Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) is not a statutory holiday but some businesses will either close or shorten their operating hours that day.
