YVR best airport in Canada, according to SkyTrax World Airport Awards

Vancouver International Airport is the best of its kind in Canada, according to a company that claims to host the world’s largest airport customer satisfaction survey.

The 2023 SkyTrax World Airport Awards were released last week and YVR rated 20th in the world, followed by Montreal’s Trudeau International Airport in 45th spot and Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in 64th spot. In 2022, Vancouver was 28th, Montreal 66th and Toronto 43rd. Vancouver held 24th spot in 2021.

SkyTrax provides research services to the airline industry, with the airport awards based on passenger surveys.

In 2023, Singapore’s Changi regained its title as the world’s best airport, after losing its long-held crown to Qatar for two years running during the height of pandemic travel restrictions.

The Asian hub edged Doha’s Hamad International Airport into second place, with Tokyo’s Haneda Airport bagging third, in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2023. The U.S. was conspicuous by its absence in the top 10.
