Paul Rudd’s wife of 18 years left ‘stupefied’ after he was named People magazine’s ‘Sexist Man Alive’
‘I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan. And I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light’
Paul Rudd has been unveiled as People magazine’s newest Sexiest Man Alive.
The Ant-Man star follows in the footsteps of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Richard Gere in receiving the honour, as well as Michael B. Jordan – who claimed the title last year (20).
Speaking to People magazine, Paul admitted he thinks life is going to change “a lot” now that he’s added the accolade to his collection.
“I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan,” he laughed. “And I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. I’m excited to expand my yachting life. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light. I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I’m looking forward to that.”
He also revealed that the only person he told about being named Sexiest Man Alive was his wife, Julie Yaeger, who was “stupefied”.
“But you know she was very sweet about it,” Paul, 52, said. “After some giggling and shock, she said ‘Oh, they got it right.’ And that was very sweet. She was probably not telling the truth, but what’s she going to say?”
