Watch: Rapper Wyclef Jean drops Jaguar Land Rover CEO on his head at corporate party
Joe Eberhardt was not injured, but did leave the party early
Wyclef Jean may need to find a new go-to party trick.
On Monday, Nov 15, at the Range Rover Leadership Summit after party in Los Angeles, “911” singer Wyclef Jean hoisted Jaguar Land Rover President and CEO Joe Eberhardt over his head, holding the man’s hands out in front of him as he spun him around the floor on his shoulders.
The executive seems to be enjoying the ride amongst the shimmering disco balls until he leaned over to tell Jean something, probably to the tune of “uh, please put me down now.” It’s during the dismount that things go wrong, because as Jean lowers the man down to the ground, their hands still bound together, gravity takes control and pulls Eberhardt down onto his noggin, pretty hard. Jean follows and ends up beneath the Land Rover boss, eventually standing up and hoisting him up by his shoulders like a fallen child.
You’re supposed to drop the mic, not the CEO, Wyclef.
Video of the event was shared by TMZ and shows the CEO being tended to after the fall. Apparently, he was not seriously injured, but did end up leaving the event a little early.
And while we don’t condone violence or CEO lifts of any sort, this Twitter user was quick to suggest the next corporate event for Wyclef to attend.
